I’ve coveted wood watches since my hippie days in college. In general I’ve always loved wood accessories–one of my coworkers has a gorgeous wood bangle I complimented so many times that she actually looked up the artist who made it for me. For this reason, I was super excited when Jord contacted me and asked if I would feature a watch of theirs on the blog.
The best part about this for you is that I’m partnering with them on a $75 giveaway. Head here to enter. Everyone who enters gets a $20 discount on a purchase at Jord. Good luck!
I’m easing ever so slightly into fall fashion this year due to the high temperature, high humidity, and the deeply ingrained knowledge that winter will soon be here. I picked up this light plaid “dress” from BB Dakota during Shopbop’s mid-summer sale. It’s certainly not dress-length on me, but it does make a nice topper and provides just enough warmth when the temperatures dip at night.
I wore this ensemble to Traverse City’s Microwbrew & Music Festival a few weeks ago and it was the perfect outfit for the cooler, almost rainy day we had. The festival was a ton of fun. I sampled a number of delicious beers, including a Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake Stout from Rochester Mills Brewing Co., a jalapeno beer from One Well Brewing, and the Oktoberfest from Great Lakes Brewing Company–my favorite of the day. I also heard some fantastic music, including The Accidentals–a group from Traverse City. I’m obsessed with their music. Go listen to Mangrove right now. And then Michigan and Again. You won’t regret it.
I really love this wood watch from Jord. It’s clearly well made, and it goes with everything. In addition to the watch in this post, I love this rose gold option, this light maple version of the watch I’m wearing, and this bold redwood and maple watch.
I was recently contacted by StyleWe, an online retailer, about featuring an item of theirs in a post. I obliged, and they sent me this lovely leather bag to review. I’m honestly shocked at how high quality it is given the price. Seriously, the leather is thicker and nicer than many higher priced designer bags I’ve seen. I’ve been pairing it with everything lately–you can’t go wrong with a rich brown leather in the fall. I’ve got my eye on a few more bags at StyleWe, including this adorable white satchel, this small gray bag, and this light blue satchel.
