I always look forward to weddings as an opportunity to wear my fanciest dresses and nicest jewelry–which often spends far too much time hidden away in my closet or jewelry box. This spring I’ve already got two weddings to attend on the calendar, and I can’t wait for either of them.
I found this dress at my favorite Chicago consignment store: Elliot Consignment. The brand is Black Halo–though admittedly I’d never heard of it before, probably because I’m not in the habit of spening $150+ on dresses almost ever. Consignment stores are really great places to find more expensive–which often means higher quality–pieces for a fraction of their original cost. I know there are more consignment stores in the city than Elliot’s, but I haven’t been to many of them. Chicago readers, what is your favorite consignment store?
If you’re looking for a similar version of this dress at a reasonable price, I found a few options for you. This geometric paneled dress is incredibly similar to what I’m wearing, this pleated lace sheath has a gorgeous bodice, and this bell sleeve all navy lace dress is very on trend.
Nude pumps are among my top five items every lady should own. I found this pair at Nordstrom Rack along with the dot print chambray dress I featured earlier this week. For some more options, I often opt for Ivanka Trump for quality, and Forever 21 as a good budget choice.
