Sometimes when I’m feeling down or worn out after a long day of work, I like to go to Target or a similar store and buy a cheap pair of comfy pajamas. I generally go for the softest I can find. There’s something about having something new and comforting, even if it isn’t all that glamorous or overly special, that can really brighten things up. Happily, these Target shorts come in just about every color and are so soft I’ve been wearing them constantly.
I work from home about once a week–a nice perk of working in the tech industry–and when I do I like to be comfy but not totally slovenly. Generally I’ll throw on something like this: a soft pair of shorts, a loose-fitting top, and maybe a few pieces of dainty jewelry to make things feel pulled together. I really like Charming Charlie for fun studs–they’re inexpensive, so I don’t mind rotating sets every few months. This crescent shaped pair came from a nice boho set I recently picked up. Finally, I have to moisturize my lips constantlly lest they crack–one of the anti-perks of living in a brick and timber loft is that my skn tends to dry out quickly–so I like to kill two birds with one stone by using tinted lip balm.
