I love pairing a really bohemian piece with more traditional items. This silk wrap skirt from Orchid Lane, a small boutique in Ann Arbor that specializes in fair trade clothing, pairs quite well with other bohemian pieces, but when I want to dress it up I opt for neutral heels and classic stripes. I think the overall effect is quite nice–almost Parisienne chic. I feel like I should be heading off to work at a cafe near Montemartre.
If you’re pear shaped like me, a wrap skirt is one of the best clothing items for your body type because it accentuates the waistline area. If you’re on the hunt for a good wrap skirt, check out this lovely floral version from House of Harlow, this bright wrap from Kate Spade, and this neutral alpaca skirt from Salvatore Ferragamo.
If you like this top, head to H&M and stock up–they have a whole slough of tops like this that are amazingly cheap. I own this one in stripe and black, as well as several more short sleeve versions. They pair so well with skirts, it’s good to have them in a bunch of colors.
