Alright, so I’m not actually wearing any Kate Spade in this outfit, but something about it screamed Kate Spade to me as I put all the pieces together. The bright colors, the ladylike details. It’s Kate Spade for a whole lot less.
Can we just pause for a moment to appreciate this jacket? It was $60. Target, you amaze me. Bright yellow is beginning to take up more and more space in my wardrobe. It’s just so fun and eye-catching! That said, if you’re looking for something a bit more subdued, they offer this same trench in a navy stripe that I find quite fetching.
I am slightly less happy with this dress. I bought it about a month ago in an XS and it was just barely tight enough to be reasonable on my midsection. Since then, with the weight I’ve lost it has become almost baggy. Really, Target? If I can’t wear the extra small in this dress, what are the truly teeny women of the world going to do? I do not appreciate retailers making standard sizes larger and larger to accommodate America’s growing waistline. If anything we just need more sizes, not the same sizes only bigger.
You may recognize this bag from several posts last summer. In keeping with last week’s post about knockoff handbags, this bag is the same shape as Prada’s Gardener’s Tote, but I purchased it from Yoox for a lot less than the real thing. Its quality is good (real leather) and I’ve been happy overall with it. It was made by Parentesi, and they seem to have other knockoffs available as well if you’re interested.
Happy Monday! :)
