I found this colorful maxi dress at H&M about a month ago, and I’m not surprised it’s already sold out. The colors are just fantastic. It’s been a goal of mine for a while now to expand my maxi dress collection, which consists mostly of black jersey maxis, and I think this dress will do a great job of rounding things out.
Temperatures in Chicago have escalated to the point where all I want to wear are light, floaty dresses like this one. I like that the material is light-weight and breathable, and that the lining on this dress only goes down to mid-thigh length. Any longer and I think it would feel too heavy in this heat.
I’m still loving my new curling wand from Irresistible Me. I used the same extension in this look as I did in my earlier review. It takes me a while to branch out, especially with my hair. When I discover a hair cut, color, or styling method I like rarely switch things up. That said, I did try the 2″ extension last week and loved the big beachy waves it gave me. Sadly, in the humidity those waves were gone by the time I got to work.
I’ve still got my eye out for colorful maxis. The fit and flared shape and the mint top on this dress is very pretty and flattering, this boho-printed maxi is lovely, and this bright ombre maxi has great beachy vibes.
I’m torn between wearing this dress and a light blue strapless lace dress to a wedding I’m attending this weekend. If you’re curious which one I pick, follow me on Instagram or Snapchat (@theladyjoules). And of course I’ll be posting outfit pictures of the other dress here on the blog soon, too!
