This is a very experimental outfit for me. I’m not generally big on jeans, and I almost never wear fashion-forward, non-fitted tops such as this. But, when I spied this top I thought it might work out well anyway. After all, many times when I’m deciding what to wear, sexiness isn’t the first thing I want my outfit to convey. When I’m going to work or going out with family I often want to appear more adult, professional, and approachable. And in the spirit of that, I decided to give this outfit a try.

It’s not too bad, right? Plus, the colors on this top are just fantastic for summer. I love how bright they are–they put the idea of Carnivale (not exactly a summer holiday, but I’ll go with it) into my head. Wearing this outfit makes me feel festive, which is always a plus on a routine work day.
