Nordstrom Rack is a godsend.
When I began planning outfits for my trip to Hawaii I was met with a dearth of dress options. Our trip was too early in January for 2017 resort wear to have arrived in stores before we left. I wasn’t quite sure what to do. After ordering several heinous dresses from Asos–seriously this yellow one looks like a cheap tent, don’t even consider it–I was left wondering what to do. Then on a whim I headed to Nordstrom Rack over my lunch break and was met with more fabulous sundress and maxi dress options than I knew what to do with.
This little number was one of the dresses I discovered there.
Isn’t it cute?
Other than the floral print and the pretty back detail, my favorite thing about this dress is how relaxed and breezy it is. It was a perfectly comfortable sundress to wear for a big lunch or to run to the grocery store in the midday heat.
I’ve done some research on the designer of this dress, Charlie Jade, and discovered that they specialize in floaty floral dresses just like this one. Just have a look at their current collection, all under $50!
The one other item I knew I wanted to bring with me on this trip was a nice straw tote, big enough to stash my camera, sunscreen, and necessities in. I found this option on Amazon for less than $30. I’m happy to report that it held up well throughout the trip. It has a nice sturdy lining so I really was able to pack a lot into it.
