This week’s Dressing Room Review is featuring Old Navy, whose current offerings include a panoply of summer dresses. Let’s have a look at their selection.
The dress above was one of my favorites, though it was just a hair short on my 5’8″ frame. I recently spied a petite blogger in this same dress and it looked fantastic on her, so if you’re petite or on the shorter side I’d definitely consider it! It comes in a bunch of pretty floral prints.
What I liked: the midi length and the bohemian print. What I did not like: the overall bag-like shape of this dress. That said, a belt could be just what this dress needs to be transformed into a truly cute summer outfit.
Cute, right? I quite liked this skirt, but since it wasn’t quite long enough to wear to work I decided to pass on it.
I was this close to buying this dress, and honestly I’m not sure why I didn’t. I love the color and the fit around the bodice. Maybe I’ll have to stop back into Old Navy to pick it up–it’s available in many different colors as well.
This was my favorite of everything I tried on. I love the bohemian print and the overall fit. They also have it in a dusky pink color and a dark blue.
I really love that Old Navy had so many midi options available. The length of this dress is really perfect, and the crochet yoke detail was a nice touch as well.
This dress was far too hippy-ish for me, but I could see it being cute with a chunky belt to pull it all together–it does have a nice cross back detail.
The skirt in this outfit is from Orchid Lane, previously featured here. The top went quite well with it, I thought, and it was super soft. The white was just a hair more see-through than I usually go for, but they have it in a bunch of colors, all of them more opaque than the white.
