Along with bringing back outfit collage posts, I’ve decided to start a new series of posts featuring dressing room reviews. First up: Loft Outlet. Recently, they switched the Loft next to my work from being a normal Loft to a Loft Outlet. I’ve shopped there a few times, and have been quite pleased with what I’ve found. It’s basically just Loft but cheaper. Sure, things might not be hot off the manufacturing line and the truly expensive pieces Loft sometimes sells are absent there, but what you do find are great deals on items that would otherwise be much more expensive.
Normally, this feature will include pictures and reviews of items I’ve tried on along with links to the products–in case you want to shop that specific item yourself. Foolishly, I did not realize Loft Outlet does not have any kind of presence online–not even in Loft.com’s sale or clearance section–so instead of links to each dress I’m wearing below I provided a number of other similar dresses at Loft for you to peruse.
TRAPEZE DRESS ↑
The trapeze dress I tried on was one of those items that’s very cute from the front, but not quite as cute from the side. Still, it was extremely comfy. I’m not sure orange like this is the best with my skin tone, so between the fit and the color I said no to this dress.
PORCELAIN PRINT DRESS
Note: the dresses below aren’t from Loft–I couldn’t find any similar prints there.
I LOVED the color of this dresss. It’s gorgeous–bright and classy. What I didn’t love? The length. If you’re petite, go buy this dress immediately. I couldn’t justify buying it given that I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing it to work.
PRINTED FIT AND FLARE
I’ve said this about 1000 times on this blog, but I love a good fit and flare dress. With its pink dot print, this one was a winner. I took it home.
While this dress isn’t technically from Loft’s lounge wear line, Lou and Grey, it was clearly inspired by it. The fabric is thick and soft. It would make the perfect nightie, but it could also work for casual erranding on a hot summer day. I bought this one.
Like the nightie above, this dress is clearly inspired by Lou and Grey. It’s so. soft. Seriously, I could live in it. I took it home as well.
Have you shopped at a Loft outlet? What has your experience been like?
