A solid pair of duck boots has been on my wish list for a while now, so I was thrilled when Jambu contacted me to ask if I'd like to review a pair of their footwear. Jambu is a purveyor of sporty, casual footwear built for exploring, so their selection included a few boot options I wanted to try. I landed on these quilted duck boots--I like that they're both highly functional and quite cute. The quilting is my favorite detail.

I love pairing a really bohemian piece with more traditional items. This silk wrap skirt from Orchid Lane, a small boutique in Ann Arbor that specializes in fair trade clothing, pairs quite well with more bohemian pieces as well, but when I want to dress it up I opt for neutral heels and classic stripes. I think the overall effect is quite nice--almost Parisienne chic. I feel like I should be heading off to work at a cafe near Montemartre.

Casual outfits are often hard for me. I like flowey dresses and heels, and that what the lion's share of my wardrobe is devoted to. When it comes to casual looks. I struggle largely because I don't like wearing pants or shorts very much--being pear shaped, I find dresses and skirts much more flattering on me. When I found this army green cargo skirt at Goodwill this summer I thought it was a nice cross between then skirts and dresses I tend to wear and the casual looks I need to wear when I'm out and about. I've been pairing it with casual, sporty attire when running errands and taking walks, and I think its worked quite well for me.

I previously featured this kimono in a business-casual look about a year ago. I like how versatile it is. I recently wore it in this way out to dinner in Colorado over labor day. I love how floaty it is, and it's just heavy enough to keep me warm after the sun goes down in the summer.
