If you follow me on Instagram (and you should ::shameless plug::) you'll already be familiar with my new Daily Style feature. If not, then get excited! I'm excited. Why? Because I'm really happy with this feature.
The majority of the outfits I put together never make it onto the blog, and subsequently, my social media feeds. I get dressed everyday, but I only shoot outfits about once a week. Full outfit posts take a lot of planning and work, so only a fraction of what I wear actually gets shot. This is too bad, because one of the original reasons I started this blog was to push myself to be more stylish and put together on a daily basis.

In winter, little details make all the difference. When you're gearing up for your morning commute or to head to the grocery store or even to just take your dog for a walk, wearing something bright and cheery, something cute and fun can often be just the thing to keep you in high spirits when contemplating the icey temperatures. This is my justification for my ever expanding hat and glove collection. I just added this pink set to the mix and they've been my go-to for all of February.

Today's outfit features a simple, go-to outfit formula I often turn to when I'm not sure what to wear: a black and white outfit with a single, bright pop of color. Pairing the simplest of neutrals with an eye-catching hue is an easy way to create a classic look.

From playing year-round sports in school to semesters spent hiking in college, I've always been an athletic person. These days, my athleticism manifests itself most often on the elliptical machine at the gym--the curse of working 9-to-5 is that working out often is relegated to something more like a daily chore and less like a game or adventure. Luckily, being on vacation is an opportunity to escape from that grind. Whether its hiking miles across a city in Europe or miles through a national park, I love being adventurously active when I'm traveling.
